[W126 Coupe] Heater Fan Noise

Hi All- I turned the heater A/C off (pushed in the O button) before I started the motor.  Once I started the car up there was no heater fan noise.  I waited till the motor temp got to about 75c (from -8 degrees these days) and then turne the heater on and there was no longer any fan noise.  thanks guys for your advice.
