Is the the heat/ac off before starting the car?
If not the blower is on and the blower motor is "starting" to go or
needs lubricating.
The blower motor on Mercedes is basically "crap,"
If you were to see and feel the blower motor on a 1976 Cadillac or
any American cars prior to the 1980s you would understand.
There is also too much engineering involved in the heater/ac/blower
system of Mercedes.
Fortunately the blower motor is not that difficult removal...as in
costly time repair. Can do it yourself
good luck
