I'll second that. The SEC is 2 tons as it sits. No doubt smaller, more efficient, lighter batteries will eventually be available as technology develops. However, armageddon is scheduled for 2012 so maybe you'd be well advised to enjoy your 560 while you can and use a Smart as the platform instead if you insist.

Really not the right car for the project. It is very heavy and there is little accessible space for a ton of batteries. Do yourself a favor and find another project.
