[W126 Coupe] FW: Anti Freeze Change Dilemma

Thanks everyone for your input on getting the antifreeze block drain plugs out. I did get them out and drained the system (radiator & engine block).
Now I'm trying to fill the system back up through the reservoir. I'm filling the reservoir up to the top, starting the engine, turning the defrost on high, and heating up everything until the auxiliary fan comes on. Allow to cool down than refill. Problem is I can't get any heat from the climate control (defrost or regular heat). Seems like I should be putting in a lot more coolant mix. I have not put in as much as I got out. Any suggestions?

A couple of helpful threads about draining the coolant/flushing with citric acid, etc:

Mike - Markus and Jonathan have the right idea about leaving the block drains alone and flush with water. Make sure you leave your heat temps. on high to circulate all the old stuff out of the car.

Mike,
I wouldn't bother, honestly. I know someone who did this and it turned into quite a nightmare. I'd simply drain the radiator, refill with water, run the car for a bit, then drain it again and refill with 50/50. If you really want to go nuts, you can do the acid flush, but I've also heard cautions on doing that as it could loosen things and clog the system.

I suspect its been 4 or 5 years or longer since the antifreeze has been change on my 1991 SEC. I have the car up on ramps, new MB antifreeze ready to add. My dilemma is I can't get the engine block drain plugs loose to properly drain all the fluid. If I'm reading the Service Manual correctly the location of the plugs correspond to a 6mm allen socket plug. I have the plugs drenched with liquid wrench. Any suggestion how to get these buggers out?
Thanks Mike
