I agree about to VERY big wheel in the W126. Part of my conversions on my
'89 560SEC is changing the steering wheel to the W126 era AMG wheel which is
smaller.
After driving my 928 which you almost need a crow bar through the spokes to
turn at low speed and getting into the 560, it feels too light and big.
My AMG wheel has a hub/boss which is W126 and the wheel bolts to it. A
similar hub could have any appropriate wheel bolted to it.

Subject: Re: [W126 Coupe] Swapping steering wheels
Does anybody have views on the pros and cons of changing out the stock
steering wheel of a 1985 500 SEC for a newer and smaller diameter wheel of a
124 series vehicle?
Does anyone have instructions for this possible swap?
After driving my '95 E320 wagon, it's feels like I'm using a steering wheel
from a river barge when I drive my '85 500 SEC.
Thanks for all your help.
