[W126 Coupe] 1985 500 SEC muffler issue

Same thing, although I put a custom made. I have the oem 86 resonators in my shed if anyone wants them.

  I had the mid-section resonators and muffler removed from my 1991 560 SEC and installed a Remus exhaust. The rubber hangers at the rear kept breaking. Several years ago I had a muffler shop weld on 2 "L" shaped pieces of metal to hold the weight, and that resolved the problem. The original muffler and resonators are up in my shop.
