[W126 Coupe] Inside door handle failure.

At least yours closes and latches.

The PO left my 500SEC outside long enough to get corosion on the internal 
mechanism and on the cable from the interior handle to the lock mechanism. 
When the mechanic pulled the interior handle it stayed pulled and the door 
would no longer latch.  I bought the car in that condition and had it 
shipped to me with the passenger door tied shut.  When I took the interior 
panels off to cahnge the broken handle or cable I found the corosion.  I 
used WD-40 and 3 in 1 oil to break the corrosion free.  Everything working 
fine now.

You will have to take the panels off to effect the handle repairs.  As long 
as you are in there might as well lubricate everything. (including the 
window mechanisms?)
