[W126 Coupe] Batteries

As far as my knowledge it is true Interstate brand batteries are made to MB specs, interchangeable, and the correct gear if you are not OEM fussy.  I have to use OEM labelelled blue and white batteries as a top competitor in concours, but now some judging standards may be relaxed in lesser concours so as not to be a visible deduction. My children are hungry, and eat a LOT of batteries for lunch, the cost has gone up in the last two years, but that is my choice, but the truth be known----after ten years experience we aren't getting hardly three years out of them before its time for another meal.
For our nonStar needs CostCo batteries and Sears DieHards are quite acceptable and priced well.
Oh--and guys---when you replace the battery, please take a minute and clean the crap out of there on the battery holddown plate.
