[W126 Coupe] question about throttle position switch help anyone/everyone

Gary, for your original question the answer is NO there is no way to
calibrate the tps. You should get closed at idle, open anywhere else in the
throttle plate movement and a closed at WOT (wide-open-throttle) which is
the other circuit on the 3-pin switch.

I've torn down one throttle body to remove a heavy carbon build-up and
replace the original tps that proved to work just fine. There is the painted
(yellow) screw to the side of the throttle body which adjusts the stop on
the throttle plate but, if you go just a bit too far on this screw, the tps
will not give you a closed at idle reading. It's factory set and should be
left alone IMHO.

Take care,
Dick
