[W126 Coupe] question about throttle position switch help anyone/everyone

Gary,

Your meter when set to read resistance should read 'closed' when the car is
at idle and the throttle plate properly closed off in the throttle body. As
soon as you depress the accelerator or move the throttle linkage the tps
should read open.

So using an analog meter the needle sweeps clear over as you would see when
you take both meter probes and touch them together (that's Closed). Now when
you separate the two meter probes the meter needle will be at rest (said to
be Open).

I assume you've figured out which terminal is COMMON and which is WOT and
which is IDLE?

If using a digital meter, let me know.

Regards,
Dick
