[W126 Coupe] Dragging transmission on 500 SEC

Clarify for me what is "heavy load?"
To me that is pulling a 28 foot boat on a trailer  or a 33 foot  
Airstream.

Was he driving with the brake on?
Seems to me  brake caliper is locked or you have collapsed brake hose  
which can cause a caliper to lock on a  rotor.
