[W126 Coupe] Dragging transmission on 500 SEC

[btb management]

Have a 1985 500 SEC which went into the shop for one problem-fuel ignition and came
back with another.  The mechanic said he drove in heavy load mode to test
the car for 20 miles on the freeway.  Now the car feels like the emergency
brake is on all the time and the transmission is not flowing smoothly between gears.
This problem did not exist when it was brought in. 
Any ideas?
