[W126 Coupe] need to replace the driver side window motor

I have a nice hardwood 18" ruler with a hole in each end that makes a
perfect prop for holding up the window. Bolted it to the window frame, and
to a hole in the metal flashing in the bottom of the door. It stayed in
there for a week or so while I fixed my broken regulator (aluminum solder).
The tools needed will be a #1, 2, and 3 Phillips screwdrivers, and a 10mm
socket. I use a plastic wedge (pry-bar) thing to unsnap the bottom of the
door upholstery panel.
Later,
Mike

Cut a piece of 2 x 4 the correct length and support the window in the up
position, worked for me. I found it easier to remove the motor linkage
assembly then change the motor out on the bench, And yes I replaced the
nylon runner clips, made them myself out of Teflon. Not to difficult a job.
Remember on the door panel, do not force, I lifts up and out.
