[W126 Coupe] 500SEC engine/starter question

Well, I figured out what was happening. On mine, the new starter was
apparently binding up on the ring gear, which would keep the drive
extended, and the contact in the solenoid engaged.
Once I replaced the starter with the old but functional one that was on
the car before I started rebuilding the engine, the problem went away.

The starter has since been returned to Schucks.

Now I just have to figure out what is wrong with the car, as it
instantly floods when I start it! More fun, but I finally got an engine
repair manual for it. MUCH better than the second hand manuals on CD.
