I couldn't agree more with Marcus' and Bruce's response. I've called
Jonathon on more than one occasion to ask his advice and he has always been cordial,
responsive, and extremely helpful. In fact, he was in the front part of my
brain when I posted my comments some months ago that we might be guilty about
taking the knowledge pool of this group for granted.
Jonathon, you've got my vote...regardless.

I have a few parts left over from the dismantling of my 91 560SEC. The major
parts left over are the stock 15 wheels with rubber (most suitable for
moving project cars around and most of the interior trim pieces, the rear
"shocks", the 2.47 diff, axles and a passenger front fender. No offer is unreasonable
as long as there is room for freight recovery and doesn't run into
significant time requirments.
After this, what takes up to much space is off to the scrap heap.
Thanks
Mark

Mark, or anyone else out there, I'm looking for a drivers side leather arm
rest for my '91 560. Must be in excellent condition, no cracks, etc. It
seems that perspiration causes the leather to dry out and crack, which mine
did. My color code is 265 which my data sheet calls cream/mushroom but any
color is OK since I can dye it to match with Leatherique.
Anyone out there, do you have one to part with?

Hi, I currently own a 1990 Euro 560 SEC with just about every option MB
delivered back then. I will never sell this car! But now I am also looking
for a MB 600 W100 (63 ? 80). I live in Europe, but plan to go to the US to
search for one (I get a lot of dollars for an euro nowadays!). Has anybody
any suggestions where to look? Are there specialised ?classic car? dealers
in the south that you know of? Maybe specialised (auction) websites? Classic
car traders? Friends whot want to sell one? Hope you can help me out. Thanks
a lot! Ruud

Fedex Custom Critical if you want the job done right.
Fedex bought out Passport Transport of St. Louis which was one of the
original, premier transport services.
I've had excellent service from them.

Since we are on the subject of spare SEC parts, does anyone have a chrome
/alloy trunk lid lift and or associated right/left fender pieces in very
good
condition for sale? The aluminum alloy has dulled somewhat on mine and no
manner of polishing seems to get the shine back .I have an 89 year model.
Thanks,
John K.

That is fairly common on the coupes so it might be rather difficult to find
a used one in excellent condition. Strangely though, the sedans seem mostly
immune from the dulling problem. You might try Jonathan with Blueridge or your
local dealer.

Its white with saddle interior. It's in North Idaho; but, never
driven in snow or even rain! Based on Jonathan's recommendation I
had the timing chain and injectors replaced 800 miles ago. I have
all recoords and carfax for it.
Thanks,
Camran

Or you might not want to do that, Jonathan does not seem to be a man of his
word.

That is fairly common on the coupes so it might be rather difficult to find
a used one in excellent condition. Strangely though, the sedans seem mostly
immune from the dulling problem. You might try Jonathan with Blueridge or your
local dealer.

Since we are on the subject of spare SEC parts, does anyone have a chrome
/alloy trunk lid lift and or associated right/left fender pieces in very good
condition for sale? The aluminum alloy has dulled somewhat on mine and no
manner of polishing seems to get the shine back .I have an 89 year model.
Thanks,

If you feel that way about someone, I'd suggest emailing the person
privately, and not defaming someone publicly without any evidence to support the
charge. In fact, even if you did have "evidence", this is not the place for that
either.

Hi Bruce,
I have tried to contact him personally several times, to no avail. I agree
that this is not the place to air my differences but If you would like a copy
of my supporting evidence, I would be happy to supply it. The reason I posted
this, in this way, was to get a response either from Jonathan or someone who
knows him. Perhaps you can get him to follow up on his promise or at least
tell me that he is no longer interested. Let me know what you find out. Thanks

As Markus said, he is one-man show and busier than a one-armed wallpaper
hanger.
So while I understand your frustration in not getting a call back, saying he
is "not a man of his word" implies a LOT more than just not returning phone
calls, especially with no further explanation.
In all of my dealings with him, he's always been above board (WAY above
board) and helpful. Although I too sometimes have to be patient knowing how busy
he is.
I just don't agree with your methods. It's not like he is some new guy on
the list that ripped a bunch of people off...he's got thousands of helpful
posts, and many references.
There's worse things in the world, to be sure, but the implication was of
much more than what you now explained to be the problem.
Bruce
