I've never heard of one - but I have just bought a spare Getrag 280 gearbox
for my E34 M5. I'll take a look and see how things match up at some stage
in the future, as I've still got the 500 and 560 SECs, but haven't driven
them since I bought the M5. I wouldn't mind "hardening up" one of the SECs
a bit, along the same lines as the M5 is compared to my son's E34 535
manual. The manual transmission in both those cars just makes them both
much more interesting to drive.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] manual trans sec?
All,
I spoke to a guy this afternoon at the local parts store who said when he
was stationed in Germany back in the day, he saw an AMG SEC that had a
manual trans! After diplomatically suggesting he was mistaken, the guy
swore up and down the car had a stick. I seriously doubt MB produced and
optional manual trans SEC for the German market, but did AMG ever offer a
stick as an option?
