  My cassette player/stereo is not functioning correctly, difficult to adjust speakers etc...
  An "expert" on the 300 E informed me that the tuner in the trunk on the drivers side is at fault.
  Does the 560 SEC have a tuner in the trunk? If so any suggestions as to what to do if a person wanted to keep their 91' as original as possible.

  I'm not sure what you refer to as the "tuner". I have a '91 560 SEC and the radio/cas. unit it in the dash. I guess you would call the "tuner' and the one in my car is listed as chassis 1480. The amplifiers are behind the left rear passenger seat back, not in my trunck. Don't know if this helps you any. As others have suggested you may want to contact Becker and question them. They were extremely helpfull regarding the questions I had and the work I had them do to my head (tuner) unit.
