[W126 Coupe] 1985 500 a/c overheats

My 1985 500 sec has been overheating after using the a/c for a short time.  
My mechanic has completed several fixes but  I can hear 
the antifreeze bubbling in the overrun tank and see leakage under the car 
whenever the a/c is run.  The thermostat has been replaced, a new temperature gauge 
has been put in, as well as a few new hoses attached to the engine
but the tank still bubbles everytime i run the a/c.

any suggestions?
