[W126 Coupe] Water leak in rear passenger side

Vance,
  I looked for the same type of leak for over two years. Take off the chrome piece attached to the
rear window pillar and see if there are signs of water getting behind it, If there is { I had signs of
rust] the water is now going to go to the inside of the car. I silicone that plate back in and problem
was solved.

Hello Vance and welcome back!

It seems this subject was just recently covered in the past month or so.  The rear coupe side windows have a unique complete assembly for both the inner and outer brushes that is attached with a urethane rubber seal just under the chrome trim strip above the door strike on the rear window pillar.  You might want to start there and see if in fact water is running right down to the rear foot well from where the door meets the rear pillar, leaving the rest of the car dry.

As for the sunroof drains, I just use an extension wand with compressor air and blow/listen for the air escaping in the wheel wells.

I was wondering if I should silicone the top rear window drain to confirm my suspicion and possibly cure the problem at the same time. Or if it is a bad idea to silicone this drain.
