Long time since my last post. Have been following the recent posts on the water leak problem as I have the same problem except on the passenger side. Although I am in the UK, the car is LHD (1991 560 SEC Euro). I have checked what seems all the usual suspects as in the posts on the subject by strategically placing pieces of paper towel at suspected entry points. So far there has been no clue to how so much water is getting in to the rear footwell. The trunk is as dry as a bone as is the front and rear drivers side. There was an indication that the front passenger side was wet, but that was just after I discovered I had a leak in the first place and put it down to the water sloshing to the front under braking. Since I have removed the front floor mats, there is no evidence of water getting in from that end. There is however an indication that it could be getting in from the top of the rear window seal, as the rear window is wet on the inside (but not just the rhs). I initially put this down to condensation and still could be, as there doesn't seem to be enough water to cause such a pool in the rear footwell. I was wondering if I should silicone the top rear window drain to confirm my suspicion and possibly cure the problem at the same time. Or if it is a bad idea to silicone this drain. Would appreciate your thoughts on the subject.
Regards,
Vance.
