[W126 Coupe] Ride hight

Hey Axel,
The right side pipe comes out of the resonator and does what is essentially a flattened S pattern past the fuel pump. I thought that might be a problem too but a talented muffler and pipe guy pulled it off with a 3/4 inch air gap between the pipe and the pump. Plus there is a piece of heat shielding for added protection. Going on six years now without any problems.
Rich

Rich,
I noticed you have dual exhaust pipes.
How did you route the pipe to the right side?
Satish has a dual pipe setup on his car and he routed the pipe behind the bumper. I guess you don't want to get too close to the fuel pumps.

Pete,
I've got H&R sport springs on my 85 Euro - they dropped it approx 1.5 inches all the way around. Cornering and roll resistance are noticeably improved. However, some cars may develop excessive negative camber in the rear when dropped - might have something to do with the condition of the rear diff mount. The attached photo will give you a good idea of the lowered ride height.

Hello all,
My '83 500 SEC AMG looks like it rides a little high all the way around and a little more in the rear. Not much, just noticable. Are there spring sets or lowering kits out there that are mostly cosmetic. There is a lot of room in the wheel wells. I don't want a "low rider", just enough to level it out. I'd like to see one done before I would lower it. Are there air bags available? This thing rides like it's glued to the road. I'd rather leave it as is than lose that.
Any ideas?
