The old keys aren't actually laser cut.that's just propaganda. Anyway, the
prices are all over the board, from Shin's $17 to $100+. They used to make
them only in Germany, but they may have moved the machines over here now.



My spare cost me $35 at the dealer.

Because it's laser-cut, most locksmiths can't make it. I just had mine made
by a MBZ dealer. I needed to show the registration and a driver's license.
It was made at a central location in Texas and took two days and it was
expensive $17
