If you can find a good auto glass shop, I'd pay them to squirt a bead of
the non-hardening glass sealant all the way around under the seal. (I
think it's a urethane sealant, rather than a silicone one, but I don't
remember why that was).

That being said, if you can't find a good glass shop that's been doing
this for a few years at least, you might be able to get some of the
correct sealant yourself and do a reasonable job of it.
