[W126 Coupe] Help

I never skimp on tires. I consider them an important safety item, like
brakes. Don't always buy the same brand. I always try to match the tire
to the vehicle and type of driving I intend to do.

Cheers,

Well, sure, if you can afford Michelins! :)

I have run a few sets of the Contis on my Audi S8s and was pretty happy.
Maybe the AWD helps compensate for the wigglies.

Bruce..I don't know about those Conti's..I See them come out of the box
pretty wiggly more often then not ;-)

I'd go w/ the Michelin Exalto Pilot...Just put a set on a customers car
and they work amazingly well in the wet and are Very respectable in the
dry. I've heard Good things from those that run these and deal w/
snow:)

I like Continental ExtremeContact all seasons for all year use in a
non-dedicated snow tire, and also Bridgestone KDW-S if they still make
that is very good in wet/cold weather and decent in warm too.

Now that winter is approaching (or already here), can I get some
recommendations for tires? Mine skid the minute it starts raining. I'm
not looking for snow tires... just some 4 season tires that won't slip
when the pavement is wet or snowy. I realize that nothing is secure on
ice, so I'm not asking for miracles. Just some good traction.

Thanks.

John
