[W126 Coupe] looks like i'm getting mbcoupes emails again so i have a ?

my car only in the morning, i guess after it has set for a long while, doesn't start.  doesn't even make a noise.  then i put it in neutral and it starts.
   
  any guesses?  i do have a tranny leak and maybe some of the fluid is eating at something? the car is an 88 560 sec with 220k miles
