Hi Mark,
I am an xda member and have had 6.1 for sometime. I am
working/trying/testing some new cooked roms and features on the second htc
just to see if I can manage a couple of new apps without issues. I've been
happy with the HTC unit and was a bit restless when I heard of the release
of the new iPhone. Anyway, I have a plan, sticking to it and will I'm sure
have a new toy by years end in any case.
I'm not short on the memory of the release of the htc's and all the issues
Cingular's rom and MS had on it's release. Looks like Apple has done a
better job all around. I'm just gonna wait and see a bit longer that's all.
I know someone asked about battery life on the htc. With the modified rom
and selected vpn, network data connects, the battery life is an easy 24
hours with 1 hours phone time plus the periodic connects to the office
exhange server, gmail, news threads I am watching, etc. I do cradle the
phone when driving and when syncing the end of a day. But, give little
thought to the battery where I have a routine and it works out fine.
Weekends I usually charge on Sunday nites unless already traveling. I
expect similar tweaks will be available on iPhone and Android.
Thanks all.
Dick
