I had a tenant for awhile in our guest house that had a 1994?600S coupe. The engine wiring harnesses (it has two) cost around a grand each to replace. He also had someone slam the passenger door once and the window track broke allowing the window to fall inside the door breaking it. That also was around a grand to replace at the dealer. Other than that, the only other problem he had with it was the radio that had to be replaced. I don't remember whether it was a Becker or Blauplunk (sp?).? He sold it about a year ago because of the gas mileage and normal maintenance expenses.
I thought it looked pretty cool having two smoke silver cars in the drive way. His '94 W140 coupe and my '91 560 SEC.

>From what I have understood. the S-Class Coupe was still called SEC until about 1998.
