[W126 Coupe] outside temperature display

Markus, 

    Do you still have your parts car?  If so, do you know if the temperature readout for the the outside temp is good or not?  Mine is filling up with the crystal fluid inside the display.  I am starting to see like an avalanche of slow moving crystal fluid overtaking my number readout.
