Just a quick shout-out to Boston B-ball fans.  Years ago while  
visiting my brother in grad school in Cambridge during play-off  
season during the Magic Johnson vs Larry Bird years, a few of us took  
a walking tour around Boston and ended-up stopping for ice cream in  
the Italian section of town.  The game was on and our Lakers won it-- 
it wasn't the Final Game, but it was the Finals.  The local fans were  
completely gentlemanly with us (we had our mom and one of her friends  
with us).  Great fans with a great attitude even in the heat of  
"battle" during one of the great rivalries in American sports.

Congrats to all of you "back East" for your current winning ways, and  
I'm hoping my So.Cal. teams will renew their prowess and provide the  
proper level of competition soon.   ...except USC, against whom I am  
always rooting!  ;  )
