[W126 Coupe] Alarm surprise this morning- lights and horns a'blazin

Rick,

Your module is under the passenger side floor mat. Pull them both out
and you'll see a large plastic panel in the front of the foot well. A
10mm w/ an small extension will remove the plastic nut securing it. In
side you will see a large (3 X 6 or so) module w/ Becker written on it.
Unplug that unit and your alarm will be disabled. I find these modules
fail w/ age and do exactly as you describe. Best bet would be to find
good used or just leave it disabled...these cars require Far to much
effort to make them in the least bit attractive to car thieves.
