The 560's came standard with LSD diffs in most markets. It was optional on the 420's. I have no idea whether the 300's had them.
 
The AMG differentials are Gleason-Torsen locking differentials and, while very effective, are not known for their longevity.

Thanks Axel – an LSD is certainly preferred – I will begin the hunt for this one suggested.
Something will be done even though I like pretty ladies with long legs….
