That's a tough one, John. If you can't get the info off of the disc,  
my Index won't do you any good. Have you tried the disc in a different  
computer?

Also, depending on who you purchased the disc set from, I would think  
that they would supply you with another if your media is damaged. And  
I believe that the W126 disc set is only $20 now, if available, so  
it's not that much to replace.
