[W126 Coupe] New Tires

I have almost 70K miles on mine - Micheline "Agility Touring" on stock
rims - 225/65s. They have excellent wet traction and pretty good dry.
Being 65's your not going to pull any Gs in the corners though- they
tend to roll. But I have no complaints for regular and high speed
straight driving (I do mostly highway on this daily driver). Even with
70K they just (barely) passed inspection, and have worn perfectly
straight/even. The only problem is the side walls are starting to crack.
Got them at Sears. One word about Sears. The one I go to have always
done a good job with my Fords, but the MB it took them 3 tries to get
the alignment right - don't ask me why - I had just replaced virtually
all of my suspension and steering bushings so I knew that could not be
the issue. But the Sears Road Handler insurance is good. Gives you 3
years of free rebalance and tire rotation - that works out well - I'll
go back for my next set. Good Luck!

Any suggestions on the best brand of new tires for a 1985 SEC? Think
there is a set of Michelins
on now.
Live in Southern California, looking for great
performance in some rain and warm weather.
Thanks,
Robert
