[W126 Coupe] Mercedes On-the-Road with problems

Yes, the engine turns over and starts. But only after it sits awhile.  
After it sits, it starts, everything seems normal. After running a few  
minutes the lights go out, engine dies, then it acts completely dead -  
nothing. I'm going out to it right now and see what it's like this  
morning.
