[W126 Coupe] Window switch on console

One of the window activating toggle control switches on the center console of my 1990 560SEC (the switch for the left rear window, to be precise) has become loose. (I.e. when I attempt to make the window go up or down, the switch depresses into the console instead of activating the motor.) The rear interior switch by the window itself in the back seat works fine, as does the window motor itself.

I assume there is a support frame under the console that has bent or broken and needs repair or replacement..

How do I get into the console to make a repair? Is it fairly easy, or should I take it to an interior shop? My interior right now, except for the switch, is immaculate, and I don't really want to do anything to change that.

Thanks.

Lou Miller
