HI:

I had the ashtray wood pop off from the adhesive foam backing. I used some silicone sealant to reapply the wood to the ashtray. I see many recommending epoxy and high strength glues, but would caution against these. If you have a veneer issue and need to replace or refinish the wood, you may damage the attachment surface or component by permanently attaching the wood. It's easy to make thin wood strips for pressure rods to go from the seats to the dash strip, just put pads on both ends to prevent wood or seat damage.
