You know Mr Greene, I have been reading this mailing list and never get involved in disputes, but I felt compelled to do so here.  I don't think Robert had any hidden agendas by referring to that song.  It was probably just an after thought and something he was probably trying to use make his comment more colorful.....oh wait, that might have been politically incorrect too!  I meant to lighten the mood a little.  This country (as in the US) has become so sensitive about catching little things that might offend someone we are missing the big picture.  He was only referring to a song....nothing more.  And you are right William, this should have come to an end.....long before it ever became an issue.  Peace and love to ALL.....period!

Doing so would avoid any and all potential insults. Or, you can expand the statement from mammy and Jolson to include insults to a larger audience. There is a time for all of this to come to an end.
