If the clock failed and the push/pull on the the stem does not restore 
it, then it's likely the two capacitors.  I have the notes and the 
photos on how to replace the capacitors.   Cost will be under $5 plus 
your time.  If you are at all inclined it's also possible to paint the 
needles on all the cluster components and do upgrade the dials.  I've 
only done the capacitors and painted needles.  I have not done the dials 
but, others on this list have.

In any event it's an easy repair and a common problem on MB's of this age.
