[W126 Coupe] T bolt on Tranny

Gary:

If you can safely get all 4 lift points on the SEC up as high as is
possible with quality jack stands and go ahead and add the lift just
pressing the rear differential for added safety you should be able to do
the job and save some earnest coin. With 200k miles, those flex discs
are surely worn. Easy to inspect them by looking for cracks at the bolt
points and by grabbing a hold of the drive shaft and rocking it side to
side. If you hear a pronounced clunk and you can see the cracked discs,
there due for r&r.

The tranny needs to have the torque converter drained as well when you
pull the pan and filter. Jonathan can advise you on how to rotate the
crankshaft CW to make the drain bolt accessible. I use this weird
jointed socket wrench to get to the crankshaft bolt on the face of the
engine up and between the fan shroud.

If this is not comfortable for you , then see an independent MB shop
that you trust vs. the MB stealership.
