Also, another thing to keep in mind is same manufacturer might not mean same
battery. The BMW batteries are made by Douglas...the BMW ones typically last
5-6 years and the Douglas ones last 3.

I do believe they are...there is an interstate battery manufacture on Long
Island and when speaking with him he told me he is prohibited by Mercedes to
sell their (his) batteries in the white MB casing (the only difference). 

I still go for the MB battery..I like the look:)
