[W126 Coupe] seat belt light

I was driving home today and the seat belt light flickered for just a
second. What would cause that? Is there a sensor in the passenger seat that
will warn me to have them put a seatbelt on? I had my bag sitting in that
seat, so I don't know if that caused it. It has never done this to me
before.

Any ideas?
