My car is an '87 560 SEC stock except for the rear tires. Those are 225/50.
I can spin those on dry pavement when I start in first gear so there is
plenty of torque.
I have to assume stock gearing also since the speedometer is dead on.

My previous car was a 1983 380 SEC. It ran ok. I had a vac leak due to poor
cyl head reconditioning.
  I had that car up to 120 mph several times with no trouble. Smooth and
steady.
It probably would have gone above that but it had a single row timing chain
so I didn't want to push my luck.
