Reminds me of a story of an old lady who was looking under the bonnet (hood) of her Morris Minor for the first time.  She asked "now which is the motor and which is the battery".  She had a point - they both look like little square boxes when you first see them.  I'd have thought that the Mercedes V8 was a little more prominent.
