The ignition module for the North American 380SEC 1983 is 001 545 26 32, not 86 32.
(I show an alternative number 022 710 00 42 also, whatever that is)
What is the 4 cyl module from?

I am currently using a 4 cyl ignitor module that works fine but has a rev limiter at 6200 Rpm thus the V8 Is cutting out at 3100RPM.
I bought this ignitor yesterday (See Below):
Result was as follows: Car started (sounded Great) then I tried starting it again and it was just cranking so I had to revert back to the 4 cylinder one then she cranked and started right up.
This is the second one I have purchased..
Is it possible that something is causing these boxes to blow?
Why would the 4 cylinder one keep working??
Please help me experience top RPM again…
