[W126 Coupe] antenna mast replacement problem

Mike's right. Take the whole unit out and open it. The problem may be obvious (accumulated dirt, jammed cable...) Obviously the motor still works. In any case it's not the end of the world. Hirschmann makes replacement units complete that can be had for less than $70.
