this is out of left field...i had a noise that was kind of winny and clanky it was the alternator.

Hi Markus,

thanks for your help, I also noticed a whining noise which wasn't there before, another forum suggested it may be a water pump bearing. I'm not sure what units the temp guage is in, can't remember if it says C or F, either way it was reading at the bottom end of the guage and was nowhere near the red area, could also have a faulty sensor then as its not reading 80 which i think is normal, will double check my guages and see if its C or F,
