hi all
i have been busy as a one armed paper hanger so i did not get a chance to
relpy ....
i contacted Doyle at

_doyle at hancockindustries.com_ (mailto:doyle at hancockindustries.com) ...
and he made me a condenser for my 85 sec maybe 5 years ago and it has been
no problems and
i also looked at my compressor and was oil that had begun to discolor i
replaces the old compressor with a ,,,,are you ready one from auto zone ( kinda
like pepboys ) thge original unit is a gm design and was used on a whole
lotta different cars like rolls Royce/Bentley, jag, and FORD products also
this unit is called a gm6 A 6 ...its a long 13 inch or so log shaped affair
i used one that was listed for a 1985 chevy truck as their is little
difference in them just use one that has a 1 groove pulley
i also replaced the receiver dryer i think it was something like 55 00 or
so the compressor was 65.00 and the condenser was in the area of 150
(?).... not bad .... i any way you dont have to worry about black death as
these compressor did not have teflon seals and used a mineral oil as a lubricant
that caused the problem

i told this to another mercedes group that i was in and some shreeked ....
WHAT .... MY MERCEDES WILL HAVE ONLY MERCEDES PARTS!!!!... i did mine ... and
as a favor to a friend of mine who has a 420 sel did his also
we both are still quite cool thank you....

you dont hafta spend a million bucks on these cars fellas
