If Charlene is going to be doing most of the trip over 100 mph, then 40-45
is good. Otherwise, 32-36 is fine. Lower pressure is a little smoother,
higher a little better response. I'd leave them at 34. Don't forget to check
the pressure in the spare tire - nobody remembers to check them until it's
too late.

Tell her Hey for me!!

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Tire Pressure

My wife is driving her 1986 560 SEC from Oregon to California tomorrow
(Monday) and I want to set the tire pressure. I know there has been lots of
talk about correct pressure, but the Les Schwab people who mounted the tires
suggested 40-45 Lb. psi. When I got the car back from the Medford Mercedes
dealership last week, all 4 tires had been set to 34 LB. psi.

The car has 225 / 45 ZR 17 94W on the front and 235 / 45 R17 93V on the
back. What should I set the pressure at?
