[W126 Coupe] New to the list ...

The heat issue I'm guessing is the monovalve. That's like a 5 minute
fix. I have circled it in this photo

open it, replace the internals, close it (do this on level ground or
you'll lose like 6 cups of coolant).

On the miss, with 183k miles it could also be timing chain stretch (I
know on my 380 when the timing chain stretched it started to run like
the distributor was shot)
