... but know how they work.  Have had a Sunbeam Tiger for some time.

Just inherited my parents' '83 500 SEC.  White with Navy blue leather interior.  
Beautiful car.  They grey marketed it from Germany in '84.  Drove it myself @ 150 
mph in Germany.  Dad has taken great care of the car over all.  Looks absolutely 
perfect from about 10 feet, but now has 183 k miles and a few issues.

Two at the top of the list:

Have not chekced the obvious (distributor, etc) yet, but it has a very noticeable 
miss at idle.  Just drove it from L.A. to Sacramento and still pulled from 85 to 110 
pretty well.  Any thing else to check?  Plug wires look pretty new.  Will check the 
plugs themselves as well.

Also, it seems the heater core is open to hot water.  Can minimize the heat into the 
cabin by running fresh air through the dash vents but temperatures spend a 
significant amount of time in the triple digits here so I need to get the heat to stop.

Any starting points would be appreciated.
